Your Miracle Will Come

Honestly, I didn’t want to take on this project. At the time I was overwhelmed and over loaded. But Jason Coombs got me on the phone and shared his story and I realized that in his story is each of our stories. We all (addicts or not) struggle with making the change that’s needed for us to experience true happiness. Generally, we’re just the shell of who we could be. In other words, we’re all recovering from something and in need of God’s help.

For families with an addiction loved one, their hearts cry out, “Will he/she ever find a way out?” (As Jason shares, the addicts cry this too but rarely share it as they incorrectly feel at fault for their own troubles. I love his perspective.) And as Jason shares in his story, and the story of thousands of others he has worked with, the miracle comes. The best thing to do is to prepare for that moment when God reaches in and makes an opening for their escape.

While on the phone, as I heard the details of his story, I knew it was a story that needed to be told in a way where others could hear it—especially those who are struggling to hold onto hope.

If you or your loved one is in need of hope, Jason’s words may bring great comfort to you.

By the way, this is the full version. There’s a shorter version, but I really love getting back into that space with Jason and hearing what was going on inside his mind when he felt there was no way out.
